Have you checked if there is anything blocking the air intake behind the air filter..I had a mouse build a nest in mine and it sucked it up! did the same thing for awhile till the rpms went up and stayed up..

My 2005 Hyundai xg350 starts with high rams and then goes down to normal. After that, it is sluggish when you press the accelerator. Once it gets going, it seems to be fine.

I have a 2004 xg350. Mine did the same thing, first it started out with a mass air flow sensor code, so I put in a new mafs and that worked for a couple days then started doing the same thing again. When started the rpms go up and down by its self then settles out but drives fine. Changed the throttle position sensor, no luck, in the end I cleaned the idle air control valve and that worked for a week. Then started doing it again, so I cleaned it again and worked good. I haven't replaced the idle air control valve yet because they want $300 for it but that's what you need to do. Also when you clean or replace it unhook the battery while doing it so the computer resets

RE LK 3504 (35 hp 4 wheel drive Tractor starts, runs 5=10 minutes under load, then slowly fades away running slower and slower until it stops. Restarts in 15 min, same result

Here is an idea.
It sort of sounds like there is a blockage after a while in the gas tank.
If there were sediment in the bottom of the gas tank, it would start and run fine sitting still.
However, when driving it, it would be a matter of a few minutes until the sloshing of the fuel would cause the sediment to mix in with the fuel, and clog the filter screen in the fuel tank.
When it stops, the sediment would settle back down, and in 15 - 20 minutes, it would be clear again.
God bless your efforts.

On the 02 sebring when the cooling fan or i turn on the air the car idles(rpm) high then back down then stalls out if i dont hit the gas to steady the rpms

run the fault codes as the ecm should compensate for the extra load on the engine when the ac compressor cuts in
there will be a rpm drop of around 150 rpms when it cuts in then it should settle back to normal rpms and when the ac cuts out the rpms will go up and the settle back to normal
anything else indicates a sensor fault.

I have a Kia Sedona van 2002 . I stoped to fill it up with gas but i left it running after i filled it up full the van started acting funny and died. I started it back up ran alright then the rpms go up...

Could be a sensor , but without testing , this would be a guess ! Have seen TPS - throttle position sensors on chysler products do this , Mass air flow sensors on GM vehicles , plus bad IAC - idle air control motor . Don't think you would like to replace all these parts , your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop . Have it tested !

First and first most: NEVER fill your vehicle up with gas while it is running. Not only is this terrible for the vehicle, causing the fuel pump to over work, but it is also a serious safety hazard.

Now that the lecture is over, on to your problem! Chances are filling up your tank while the vehicle was running DID in fact cause the issue. I'd be looking towards both of your fuel filters. The filter on the frame rail (referred to as an "inline fuel filter"), and the strainer filter on bottom of the fuel pump. Either one of them could have sucked up some gunk when the fresh gas hit the tank and loosened up some gunk.

Fuel filters often cause problems like this. Either one of them can become clogged with particles and quit allowing fuel to flow through properly. After the vehicle sits for an hour or two, the "gunk" has time to settle, only to be disturbed by the movement of fuel after the car runs. Change the inline fuel filter (which can be done by someone with limited experience or knowledge), and if that doesn't take care of the problem, have a professional replace the fuel pump/strainer filter (sometimes the strainer is built into the pump and you have to replace the whole module assembly). Good luck!
