I assume you mean rear end? Removal of the 4 bolts to the universal that connects the rear end to the transmisson is required. Removal of the shocks, and all U-bolts and brake lines/e-brake lines is needed as well. Support the vehicle with agood pair of jack stands, getting high enough so the tires don't touch. This is obviously a simple and brief descrption of what needed. Chiltons manuals are always helpful as well. If you need any farther assistance don't be afraid to ask. Thank you for using

How do you remove and replace a cv joint on a 2000 chev impala?

this is a service that needs to be preformed properly and short, you need to loosen the axle nut, jack up car, wheel off, brake caliper off, remove bottom shock mounts so the axle can be pivoted away (leave on ball joint), steering rack end removed from axle.....take shaft out of axle end first, then out of transmission (oil will drop, so have drain pan ready)......installation, same as removal, making sure ALL bolts are tight

Do you need a tool to remove trans cooling lines from ardiator on a 2000 impala

We usually use a line wrench for those fittings, but if you can loosen then with an open end wrench it will save you from having to buy a $10 line wrench. They are standard sizes, like 13, 14, or 15 mm.

If they have already checked the system by injecting a dye in with the freon and no leak detected in the engine area with the black light which will show any leak as a bright yellow, then the most likley area is the evaporator which is behind the right side dash.
