I have a 2004 ford F-150 and I put in this after market radio. The display was on then it just shut off. Now the display won't turn on but the cd player will eject and take cds. Why won't the faceplate display turn on? All the wires are wired and I double checked the connections.

try pulling the radio fuse and then putting it back in..this will reset the system...if that doesn't work then u probably have a bad radio

Leave the battery disconnected overnight - NOTE THE ALARM AND OTHER BATTERY DEPENDENT ITEMS MAY NEED RESET, or just pull the fuse for the radio - read your owner's manual..
If it still doesn't reset, you'll need to remove the radio or see if it has a reset option on the radio.

check the circuit breakers & relays associated with widows/locks, check your owners manual for description of where these can be found, is the radio an aftermarket unit or is it standard, if it's aftermarket then it has been wired in with a continuous live & will need to be re wired, if it is standard then you could have a short in the wiring that has "Jumped" a continuous live to the unit, Hope this helps

a good after market radio would be cheaper than sending the original out for repair

Try turning off your Bluetooth on your cell if that doesn't work unhook the battery for 15 mins

I wonder if the manual shows some sort of a RESET.

if its factor bad radio is fried same goes with after market radios the only solution with out spending money to find out is to find a good used factore or get new after market your choice

have you checked for power and earth, did it only stop when the radio was installed
