Check the contact breaker is opening. Check continuity to the coil, and make sure the distributor contacts and rotor arm are clean.

Replaced the distributor cap and rotor button but button keep touching the cap

The rotor will install in several positions. However, it will only install correctly in one position. So if not installed correctly; it will not click all the way down and could contact/rub inside of cap.

Getting no fire to plugs

I would start by replacing distributor cap and rotor and the plug wires if they haven't been done for a while that could be the problem.

Try replacing the two ignition coils on top the engine. My sons 1.8 had a problem with no power and occasional miss, which felt like a transmission problem but was fixed with the coils. We replaced both, but a less expensive route would be to swap out one at a time until you notice the difference.

Firing order 1999 mitsubishi diamonte need diagram

The firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6

The rotor spins counter clockwise and bottom of the distributor cap is the number one spark plug lead.

For more details, you can check the information about Mitsubishi Galant/Mirage/Diamante 1990-2000 FIRING ORDERS in Autozone.com (free register).

Hope this helps.

1995 Mitsubishi Mirage, 1.8L engine distributor replacement

They should be able to do that. Give them the yr , make, model, enginesize and you mention the rotor cams. I've never heard that term except when speaking of point type ignitions.. Is this a point type? Do not be concerned about pulling the old one unless you need the car. Then, take the car to them and you can do your comparisons ther at the store, Good Luck What is your concern about pulling it out? -Ned

1993 ecilpse 1.8 eng no spark. there is 12v at the dist

So you have voltage at the distributor and the rotor is turning. Check for voltage at the end of each plug wire. If you do not have voltage there you are loosing it in the wire or the cap. Is the cap new? Are cap and rotor new?
Just be sure you have voltage at every point between the distributor and the plugs.
Good luck!
