1993 jeep grand c wont start help.Car was running fine, then just died. Engine turns over but there is no spark going to the distributor. We have changed distributor, checked coils and spark plugs....what...

I think the Crank Shaft Position Sensor is bad. It will be where the transmission and engine meet together. Some vehicles are at the front, but I've changed out plenty on jeeps. The part is around $50 but it's something that takes about 5min for me to change but very easy for you to do also. It's a sensr that "knows what position your crank is in, in order for the engine to fire, the sensor read from the crank. I would try this first. Good Luck

I've had those cam sensors short out the computer in those Jeeps. It's worth a try.

1993 jeep grand cherokee laredo 4.0 no spark

First I would change the plugs, wires, distributor, and rotor button next I would make sure the firing order is correct then have timing checked if all check out have the cylinders tested.I hope this get your Jeep up and running. Back up a minute...Do you have spark from the coil wire? (juice from coil) If so, change or check rotor and cap (wires do not all go bad at same time so unless they are wet, likely at least good enough to start engine)

You say you changed the cam sensor. A1391 code is a crank sensor on the top of the trans. bell housing.
