91 through 93 with a 3.3 engine had a problem of sometimes the pcm would decide it had a theft alarm on it even when it didnt...it keeps looking for the signal its ok to start...only fix is to replace pcm. a dealer can tell if this is the problem by gong into the diagnostics and seeing if the fuel is shut of due to vtss

My fifth avenue runs real good then just stalls

If you still have the lean burn ignition system, it has probably gone bad. Chrysler dealers used to sell a kit that included a new distributor and module to fix this problem and get rid of the lean burn system. They are probably still available online or ebay.

The steering column is loose so when out of position my car wont start....now the car just wont start no matter what....what is the problem... the car is an 1989 Chrysler Fifth Avenue..

pull the steering wheel, then off with the clip ( you must compress the spring) under the black plastic is the turn signal assembly ( you have to actually turn the signal LF/RT to gain access to the screws). once thats out of the way, tighten the 4 screws on the housing

Replace a fuel pump on a 1993 Chrysler Fifth Avenue

It sounds like a fuel line broke, most likely because it rusted through. The fuel pump is running otherwise you wouldnt see any fuel spewing out from under the car. Get under the car and see where the line broke. In most cases, you can replace the broken section of line and it will be fine.
To answer your question though, to replace the fuel pump, you will need to remove the fuel tank from the car, as the pump is attached to the sending unit inside the tank. To remove the tank, you will need to disconnect the fuel filler neck, the fuel lines, and unplug the electrical connector, then get a jack under the tank and remove the straps holding the tank in the car. Lower the jack and you will be able to access the top of the tank where the sending unit is located. Romove the lock ring holding it in, and remove it from the tank.

Fan won't turn off

It seems to me that the fan relay may need replacing. If the contacts in the relay weld themselves closed, then the fan will stay on all the time. substitute the fan relay with another the same, to make sure that is the problem...hope this helps.

The car starts OK. When driving, sometimes the engine stalls and suddenly starts again and starts accelerating at the same time.

Before you tear apart and replace the whole car like I did, you have THREE converters on that car. The front two are part of the y-pipe and one on center pipe. Vacuum check when hot or look under it in the dark after running about twenty minutes, any glowing red in converter. you need to clean or replace. vinegar and distilled water soaking, it can be done, will help clean the y-pipe one, the other is 75 bucks aftermarket and worth the change.
