2005 Nissan pathfinder slow acel. Limp mode? HELP PLEASE

I have a 2005 Nissan pathfinder with only 46k miles. I had my radio going on acel mode for 30 min, which killed the battery...Very odd, but i had it jumped and the car started. Since then my car's aceleration is horrible. It sounds like it's stuck in high gear. From 0-20 it's takes like 5 seconds. I brought my car to a automatic transmission shop and he replaced the TCM but after doing so the car is still doing it. He is stumped on the problem. It's been 2 months, how do I get this problem fixed? Am I in limp mode? Or is it another problem? Any suggestions?

My Mechanic advised me that he reprogramed the computer, but stil has no luck with it. I was reading in the Nissan Manual and it was giving instructions to drive the car for certain speeds for so many minutes. Could this do anything?

It's mese up because when he hooks the computer up to the car there are no codes indicated on it. But it does state it's in high gear. Oh yeah, I don't know if this means anything but the O/D light on the dashboard is stuck on. That mean anything?

I'll give that a shot. Now question, regarding the steps in the manual about driving for certain speeds for so many minutes, what is that for?

Also the problem I'm having, is that common when a battery dies? Or is it possible when the guy jumped my car, could he have fried something?

Thank you for you help so far!

It does seem that that might be the problem. the only way that you can fix it is to go through the ecm and reset it. this requires a diagnostic scan tool not just a code reader. when the tcm was changed was the ecm cleared?. if not this would explain alot because the ecm still thinks there is a fault. please rate this thanks.

yes that means your overdrive solenoid inside the transmission is stuck open. that really explains alot. the mechanic is going to have to open the transmission to swirch out the solenoid. don't forget to rate this.

if the manual states to drive at a certain speed to remove it from a limp in mode then that would be a good suggestion, however your vehicle is not in limp in due to the overdrive malfunction. so it would be pointless. It is possible but I doubt that that is the case becuase you definitely would have gotten codes on the ecm. and most times in jump starting a power spike would have blown a fuse or relay before doing any damage to the componants.

I gotr a 98- 4L60E trans in limp mode & want to bypass neutral saftey switch. Can you help?

Bypassing the neutral safety switch won't help with the transmission problem. That switch is only wired into the start circuit.
Scan the computer for trouble codes. Has to be a code if it is in limp-in mode.

Nissan pathfinder cutting out

I read somewhere that the problem was related to the sensor in the brake pedal, when it goes bad it confuses the computer, no input to indicate that the brake was applied, so it basically goes into limp mode, press the accelerator all the way to the floor and you get only gradual acceleration.

Fault p1754 limp mode

This DTC is for an input clutch solenoid vavle function issue. This could be caused by a faulty Transmission Control Module (TCM), A bad terminal pin connection at the transmission harness connector, or a faulty or sticking control valve. My best solution i can provide to you is to take it either to the dealer where they can use the Consult II scan tool to monitor the transmission control functions, or somewhere that has an equivalent scanner to monitor these items. Hope this helps

Take a look at Nissan Technical Service Bulletin NTB05-15b. Title = "Rattle Noise From Vias Power Valve Actuator / Intake Manifold Collector" This appears to describe your problem exactly. I have the same problem with my 2005 Xterra and I am going to try the recommended fix myself at home.
