Headlamp melted in the wiring harness connection

If all you need is the connector & any wiring damage your going to
take care of with new wire, soldering & heat shrink tubing, then work on
finding the connector with the pig tails or even just a connector

Try online part stores, local auto part stores & then a salvage yard

At the salvage yard you hit a home run & cut off the perfect piece you need

Take the melted part with you for a sample, as well as a head lamp it connects to

Jag diesel o5 engine fault

Hi Without seeing exactly what your looking at ,you need to try and find the vacumn pipes going to the control valve and carefully lok to see they are conected and that there are no splits in the pipes,if the pipes and mechanically sound then you probably have a fault valve, try running your finger around the valve to see if the hissing noise changes.
Hope this helps

GEARBOX FAULT MESSAGE

i had the same problem with my s-type, when i went to jaguar dealer for diagnostic and they told me it was trans problem, need new trans and will cost me $4500 to fix it, so i think you will be better off looking for a salvage trans to put it in your car, it will cost you around $1500-$2500 including labor. i hope that will help some of you with gear box fault massage. oh try and find some one who knows a lot about jaguar before you send the car for trans repairs.
