Question about 1996 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup
My 1996 chevy S10 (4.3 Vortec V6, standard trans.) runs good after at least 3 tries to start it. When started it will rev itself up, stay reved for a second or two, then die out. The final time it starts (and then runs) it will shoot up to 3000 rpm. I've tried cleaning the intake, but it did nothing. Also, the front facing vents no longer work, only the floor and defroster vents. We had the dash down and saw that there is a flap that will not open, what do we need to change to make it open?
Check under the hood for vacuum leaks this could cause both the heater and the running problem
your flap is controled by engine vacuum and if there is a hose off under the hood you may fix both problems
