I have a 2004 Concorde and my check engine light came on and turned off after 1/2 a day. Then on Friday my check engine light came on and w/in 30 minutes while driving around 70mph the car felt as if the gear shifted down. I started to go 30mph b/c anything over and the car felt really strained. I'm looking for a transmission specialist now and will keep you posted.

i have the same problem i drive for about 30 minutes about 65 to 70mph just fine and then the car shifts down and really feels strained if i go over 30mph. My check engine light is on i went to aamco the so called tranny specialist and they said that the scan reveald PO700 trans controller fault and 871-00 pressure switch and then told me to replace the controller which is the computer and did not guarantee that it would resolve the problem and gave me a price of $814.00. I found a website that will sell you the computer programmed to your cars vin # and explain the plug and go instruction to you . After opening the hood and locating the computer ,i see how i could confidently remove the computer from my car and replace it .

The replacement unit cost$249.00 PLUS shipping and once you send them your old unit they give you a lifetime guarantee on the other. times are a little ruff for me to kick out 800 bucks right now so im going with the do it yourself / cross your fingers!!!.Nevertheless the website is All computer resources.com 1-866-699-5230

The soleniod on these transmissions is on the valvebody inside the transmission. It can cost $500 to 600 hundred dollars part and labor. But tell me what code number did they say it was?

For the bulb removal follow these steps.
-Open the hood and look behind the headlamp assembly with the burned out bulb.
-You'll see a black plastic ring about 2 inches in diameter, rotate this a quarter turn.
-Unplug the bulb, gently pulling the clip up to release the bulb.

SOURCE: Chrysler Concorde LXI 4 door - 2004 The car starts up and seconds after, the RPM drops and the car shuts off. The code P0513 comes up on the computer.

That is a code for an invalid skim key. If you have another skim key try it. If it does the same thing then the skim module may be bad.

There is a faulty sensor or valve. Sounds like a valve. The best thing to do, is take it somewhere that can diagnose the trouble code. Autozone can I believe, and they can tell you exactly what's going on with it.

SOURCE: 1999 Chrysler Concorde LXI Rear Speaker replacement

If you mean the rear shelf removal, then you begin by removing the rear seat (lift to release the corner clips on each side holding the cushion to the floor). Then remove the fasteners for the seat belts, then lift the seat back to raise and release it from its clips, and remove it from the vehicle. There are then a lower and upper trim panel around the back shelf that you need to remove (these may be on each side of the shelf, e.g. they are called 'quarter trim' panels). Then you will see some push-pin fasteners that hold the shelf across the front lower edge, so you gently pry out the center push-pin of each one of those to release the fastener. Then you pull the shelf forward to release it from the clips that hold it under the window. Then remove the wire to the center high-mounted brake light. The panel with its speakers attached can then be removed, but also remove the wires from the speakers so you don't break those. connections.
That is the procedure as shown in my '98 manual.

I smell fuel after turning off engine on a 2004 chrysler concord lxi 4 door.. what is this problem and how do i repair?

Change the filter pad in the charcoal canister. It is part of the evaporative recovery system that catches fuel vapors and sends them back to the fuel tank. You should find it mounted low near the radiator.

I HAVE A 1999 CHRYSLER CONCORDE LXI, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND RPM RACE TO 4000 WHEN DRIVING 55MPH?

First thing is to have the computer scanned for trouble codes.
My guess would be a torque converter or overdrive problem.

2004 CHRYSLER CONCORDE LXI P0441

Did you have the codes erased after the repair ?
The evap system has several parts that could cause the code.
The system applies pressure to the fuel tank every few minutes and checks for leaks. If any are detected, or if the system will not hold pressure, the light comes on. A common problem is a faulty gas cap but I don't know if that will set a code 441.

Dont be worried at all. The battery temp sensor isnt very important, most cars dont even have them. The only thing is you will have that light on. Good luck!!
