Varnish build up on the sensors in the gas tank. Try running some fuel system cleaner through the gas tank see if it helps. Otherwise just wait until the fuel pump goes out then have them replace the sensor while the tank is dropped.

I HAVE A GAS TANK PROBLEM, I HAD MY ELECTRIC FEUL PUMP RESTORED. NOW MY GAS HAND IS NOT WORKING. I PUT 2O DOLLARS IN IT AND THE HAND MOVED JUST A LITTLE.

It sounds like maybe the sending unit float may have been damaged when the pump was reinstalled, since the sending unit is part of the fuel pump assembly.

What's wrong when the gas hand stops working? i can have a full tank and the gas gauge hand is still on E.

The fuel float has probably failed. It is located in the gas tank. The part is usually not expensive, but the installation is difficult, as it requires removing the gas tank.

Gauge shows 3/4 if I put in a gallon or two , it'll start right up , go to gas station and it only takes 6 gallons or so.

this sound like a faulty float. a float is a device inside your gas tank which tells you how much gas you have and does go out once in a wile and give wrong readings you may have more than it says. the easy way to tell is check how much gas you rely have or if you cant then just run it till your out of gas or close to it then fill up if it takes more to fill up its your float

I have a 2002 pontiac bonneville. The gas hand keep floating up and down. What do I need to do to fix this? Also, wipers do not work. Is it a relay switch or a fuse? Can anyone help me with this?

For the fuel gauge, replace the tank sending unit. For the wipers, if you turn them on and put your head under the hood, can you hear the motor running even if the arms aren't moving?
