Question about 1990 Ford F150

I have a 1990 F-150 the headlight trouble

I have a 1990 F-150 the headlight will work for about 5 to 10 min. then start to trun on and off. I've checkd all the grounds, installed a new; altenator, high / low beam stwich, and the pull light stwich and had the battery check, all fuses or good. Any suggestionwould be appreciated.

It is the plug to glob it is melted in side i had the same problem

if the truck will not run
then put the key in trun truck on do not start wait 10 to 20 min. then trun keyy off and try to start.it will reset itself

sounds like a dead battery, have battery tested or trun on headlights if you have bright headlights then its not battery, check connections and starter it may be bad start there, good luck.

Yes! After installed, trun key on (engine not running) for 30 mins.,trun off and back on for 10mins., turn off and back on for 10 mins. more; flashing light will go off turn off and try starting engine. Good luck! it's GM's reset for that.

Electrical / Lights / Gages


Pull instrument/ cluster panel and re-melt cold solder joints where circuit board connects to dash connectors. Get them hot enough to turn them bright silver, usually 3-5 seconds each pin.
