Question about 2006 Dodge Ram 1500
I have a 2006 Ram 1500. Just today the service 4wd light came on. It comes on when I slow down to stop. When I resume speed it goes off. It did it every so often at first, by the time I got home it was doing it everytime. Any ideas. Is there a fluid sensor, could it be low on fluid or? Thanks, Erik.
There actually is a sensor for the fluid, so yes. You should check the fluid in the differential. You could try to do this yourself, or you could take it to a shop you trust. Yes, it's also possible that the fluid is low, and when you are stopping or slowing down the sensor isn't picking up the fluid, so then the light comes on to warn you that it's low in fluid. Hope this helps. Please rate my solution, thanks.
