I've just done a cluch on 1996 hyundai elantra and now the engine won't start it's got fuel and no spark

I'm not familiar w/ the elantra, but I'm wondering if u forgot to attach a connection to a safety switch that prevents it from starting unless the clutch is depressed. Seems it should be something that simple since it was ok before. countrycurt0

Someone will need to figure out if you are dealing with a no spark or no fuel problem to proceed.

engine might be flooded remove spark plugs to see if they are wet with fuel pull fuel pump fuse crank eng over with plugs removssed to push fuel from cylinders dry plugs reinstall hold gas pedal to the floor while cranking untill engine starts

If your getting fuel which it sounds as though you are, check to see if your getting spark to the plugs. Sounds like an ignition system issue. Not sure about specifics on Hyundai but could be distributor cap, rotor, distributor, crank or cam shaft sensors.

check fuses, check fuel pump for noises, if that's all good try the MAP sensor
