Do you put change on top of the screen?? Orhave you ever put change up there?? by the screen?? I have seen people put change up there and the crack around the screen is just big enough to pass the coin into the radio, frying the unit. Other that that, I can't really think of anything without lookin at it my self and diagnosing the problem, but you may need a radio unit. This is just a quick tought.

Probably loosened up or didn't plug something back up when you were messing around with all that wiring. Make sure you did not short a wire. If it was working before it should be working after because it has nothing to do w the radio. good luck

2002 Pontiac Grand Prix - multi-fuse related problems. The A/C keeps shorting out and the garage replaces the fuse. Where is the fuse box for the A/C located? Also, the radio display is dim/non existent...

I can't answer because I have other question open, sorry, but here I send any comments and clues to solve (I hope).

For the FUSE PANEL, location and description, I suggest check the 2000-Pontiac-Grand-Prix-Owners-Manual (page 330 and next). A/C have one "diode". Check it.

About your radio display, sound like a internal problem, keep in mind that the CD is working.

The Security Litgh, its possible that you have any problem with the THEFT system or any aftermark alarm (if you have).

Resetting Oil Service Indicator Lights - Pontiac Grand Prix, 1999-03
Driver Information Center If Equipped). Turn the ignition to ON without starting the engine. Fully press and release the accelerator pedal three times within five seconds. If the CHANGE OIL Soon indicator flashes two times, the system is resetting. Turn the ignition key to OFF, then start the vehicle.
If the CHANGE OIL SOON indicator comes on and stays on, repeat the procedure. To reset the OIL LIFE indictor if equipped with a Trip Computer: Press the trip MODE button until the light appears next to OIL LIFE. Press and hold the trip RESET button until the oil life percentage changes to be 99 percent.

Hope helps (remember rated this).

Make sure you have the radio code found inside your model information packet inside your glovebox…it will be on the radio and communications pamphlet. It is in safe-mode right now, so press and hold the FM button and the scan button until 1000, or whatever number is stored in your safe mode, appears. Enter your code by selecting the pre-set radio station buttons until the corresponding number appears; press and hold the FM button and scan button again and your radio should be reset.

when you replaced the battery it was very possible that you may have blown a fuse. Check your fuses for your radio and your cig lighter.
