Code radio

In the owners maunel you should have a card with the radio code on it.

The radio will only display EEE or OFF when the wrong code has been entered and the radio is locked depending on model - this is due to the battery being disconnected and the incorrect radio code being entered 3 times. You will neet to reset the radio. To do this the radio has to be on for either 2 or 4 hours - see the manual for your model. If you got the code from a card from Volvo, and it didn't work, then the radio has been changed or it has been reset by the dealer and your current code is invalid. You will have to pull the radio and find the serial & model number, and get Volvo to look up the code for that radio or the dealer may be able to lookup the radio code via vin# from Volvo. The dealer can reset the radio and enter a new code. When the radio is "ready" to accept an unlock code the display will say "codE". You will need this code if your battery is ever disconnected.

I have a 2002 chrysler sebring and my radio is lock due to battery went dead so all i need is a code to unlock my radio

You need to contact dealer and provide your VIN# to get code. Dealer is only source for theft protection codes.

Changed battery, now need code for radio to work

I hate to tell you this, but if you don't know the code to unlock the radio, you are bound for your local Acura dealer to unlock it for you. The radio thinks it has been "stolen" due to the loss of battery power. Nobody online can tell you what code is programmed into your radio. If someone did know, it would be pretty dumb to publish it online anyway...someone could steal your radio and use it in their car if they had the code. (This is the reason for the code in the first place - to make your radio totally worthless to someone trying to steal it. That way, they won't bother trying.)

The dealership can use your VIN to look up an "Override" code. They can then reprogram your radio to accept a number that you can remember so you don't have this problem again.

Be sure to take your picture ID and your proof of registration in to the dealer with you when you go. They will not unlock a radio for anyone except the registered owner of the vehicle. (At least, they're not supposed to.)

Code to unlock the radio/CD player

Code is specific to your vehicle .. Dealers are not supposed to charge for unlocking and they should have given you the code to write down in your owners manual.

Locked radio

You have to go to a chevy dealership to have them unlock the radio. They use a special code that will unlock the radio and then allows you to pick a new code. Hope this helps.

Code to unlock Radio (2003 Honda Pilot)

Sadly:
There is only 2 options.
1. Your radio code is in your paperwork for your car (Its on a hard plastic card) Find it.
2. Take your registration to Vin and Ser Number for your radio to your local dealer.
These codes are a guarded secret and no one code fits all.
Hope this tip helps guide you in the correct direction to solve this problem.
