Under the vehicle...mounted close to the front of the fuel tank...be sure to release the fuel pressure before you disconnect any line..you can do that by removing the fuel pump relay and cranking the engine

How do i change an oxygen sensor on a 1996 jeep grand cherokee limited v8 5.2 liter? and how do i know witch sensor it is?

If I dont make a mistake, you have two O2 (before / after catalytic converter) both of 4 wire, in the exhaust system.

Review the Jeep ZJ Service Manual
- ZJ-Secc-14-Fuel-System (page 22, fig. 8)
- ZJ-Secc-25-Emission-Control-Systems

Hope helped with this (remember rated this help) Good luck.
