How do I replace the thermostat in a 2002 mitsubishi Montero sport xls

Find the lower hose. Follow it to the engine. Remove the metal housing from the engine that the lower hose is attached to. The thermostat will be behind it.

I have to pour oil frcuently into my hyundai accent 2002.It just has 55000 milage. What could be happen with it?

check oil filter could be loose.or oil drain plug loose.crank vechicle look under engine area where oil pressure sending unit and timing cover look for fast steady oil leak.if losing oil more likely oil under pressure will leak out more.if you see white blueish smoke when you first start engine could have bad valve seals.

My montero xls 2002 3500cc is burning oil, and theres arent leaks or smoking problems.

Try replacing PCV valve. They will stick open and **** small amounts of oil out and will not be noticeable in exhaust.

2001 mitsubishi montero limited light on service engine soon 110000 milege burning smell from engine oil ok transmission oil ok coolant ok

look hard around your valve cover or your spark plugs holes especially #3 and #5. i found mine on 3 and 5 spark plugs. oil sometimes drip down to hot eng and smell like burn oil. possibility your valve cover that seal your spark plug hole is worn out and leak around the valve cover and straight down to hot area. replacing valve cover gasket is not easy and if you take it shop will cost you over $1000.00 because of intake manifold and a lots of hardwares to remove. shop around before you take it to the shop. if you do it your self with a friend make sure you take picture for every lines ,bolts sensor plugs and so on you remove. also may as well tune up or change your spark plugs. good luck

Oil leak on top front of 2002 f350 super duty diesel engine

if it's a diesiel the it's coming from your oil line to your turbo. if it is gas then it could be a leak coming from a leaking valve cover gasket.

Engine oil get less every two weeks in my pajero 4m40

Diesels do lose a little oil out the blow-by tube. If the engine temp. is higher then normal then you will lose more then normal amounts. If you are not leaking it then you are burning it, Possibly worn rings, head-gasket, or oil leak inside turbo. 68 MPH and higher doesn't sound unusual, is the engine still stock?

check your valve cover an your oil pan bolts to make sure they are not loose.if that fails, steam clean engine so you can see where oil may be leaking from.

1993 mitsubishi pajero exceed-intercooler turbo 2800 diesel engine 4m40

Hi, I have a Pajero 2800 Turbo 1995 Auto. It has developed a bad oil leak somewhere around the front right hand side (from the front) where there seems to be oil spraying over the pipes, etc. Can't see it happening with the engine running and have cleaned the engine off but still can't see where it comes from. It has emptied the sump! Any ideas?
Cheers,
Rob.
