Mazda 1988 b2200 pickup, runs fine at idle, when driving, it's jerking and hesitates. when I accelerate, it hesitates. I don't know how to describe this but it feels "stopped up", like there is wind pushing against it. I changed fuel filter, plug wires, check air filter, used seafoam in gas. It still does it.

change the transmission fluid, replace the oil and oil filter check spark plug cables, check starter coilpak, and make sure there is coolant

Try checking your Spark plugs (they MUST be the right type, clean, and properly adjusted: and try adjusting your timing. Either or both of these could cause this type of problem Hope it helps. If so, don't forget to rate the answer, will you?

Check to see if you have a MPV that has been included in the recall for the PCV line. Yes it is difficault to get to on your own, however they have special tools to reach behind the manifold to remove the line and install a new one. If you do it on your own it is very difficaul and will take a few hours as a I did before I found out about the recall. The service dept. should have asked you about the recall when you went to get the part from them. Where I got pissed was when they did replace the hose the faulty line had fouled the pcv valve and they did not bother to replace it and that is tucked under the intake manifold and under the fuel rails.

This is going to be either a programing issue in the transmission control module or an main control valve body concern. This vehicle is under warranty for 48 months or 50000 miles so I would have my local dealer take a look at it.
Ford has a new techincal service bulletin out on a concern similar to what you are describing. It states that if vehicle has less then 20000 miles to reprogram the PCM and TCM, if it has over 20000 miles they recommend to replace the main conrol valve body. The TSB number is 08-24-01

I've got the same make/model and issue. I've got a mechanic I trust who changed the spark plugs and pc valve (about $200). The problem has persisted and he's telling me we need to change the spark plug wires which I avoided because they were going to cost me $120 @ Autozone. So I knew if I'd ordered through my mechanic or the dealer they would have been twice that not including labor. If it doesn't work...I'll be calling click and clack.
One thing I can say...is that this car is the best example of why you need a trustworthy mechanic. Someone who is willing to try and eliminate an issue one at a time versus what they did to you. I really love my car and have grown to realize the parts are hard to find and rival BMW's in price. Find another mechanic...and if when you buy a part for routine maintenance...buy two.
