Ml270 catalytic onvertor clogged should i cut it out

My mechanci recommends i cut out the catalytic convertor for ML270 year 2001

This will more than likely fail you on inspection -it must be replaced-if you do not you willget eevn less fuel mileage- also reasons for this happening are-burning marked fuel?regular gas?driving short runs all the time. Burn pump fuel-high test only-you get it back in mileage-try it - I have suv -it works- oh use a fuel addditve at least once a month to clean injector system -costs about 4 Bucks

Did you put in the battery the correct way? is any light on the key fob? does it come on if you press a button? If there should be a light and it is not coming on, please check if the battery is in a correct place and if all contacts are clean and shiny.

Reprograme ml270 keys


on most cars, made, this is the rules.
dealer does it.
key shop does it. (if they do cars)
or if you read the operators guide (not an insult , a fact)
it tells you , how to program the key DIY on all most all cars made.
some cars need 1 key to make more, or up to 3 keys,
my car is 3 to make up to 8. DIY
each car, each year, has those number diff.

My chevy impala lacks power and acts very bad sluggish while accelerating


Any check engine/service engine soon light? Could be a clogged catalytic convertor, search for cleaning a catalytic convertor. Try cleaning the mass air flow sensor, it is before the throttle plate. If you are losing coolant, your engine is prone to this, it could be leaking intake gaskets.

Hi I own a 2002 ml270 and it has developed a crack


Depending on what its made of, cast or aluminum or whatever, if its in a fixable place, meaning you'll need to drill a hole on either side of the crack to stop it from growing, then weld it up if its not cast, or if its cast braze it. You'll have to take it off the car.

When accelerating there is no power but when releasing accelerator slowly power picks up. why is this happening 2001 ml270 cdi


Hi, this is a common symptom of a clogged fuel filter that is straining the fuel pump itself.

When you accelerate, this initiates a rapid fuel flow through the lines. if the filter cant pass the proper amount, its will stall or hesitate the engine and cause sputtering or loss of power. due to this clogged filter, the pump cant keep up with your acceleration demands at this time. the reason for the power pick up upon De acceleration, is because the lower amount of fuel is able to pass through quite easily but, as soon as you demand more power, the clog will obstruct the more intense flow of fuel to the injectors.

Simply replacing the fuel filter and pump will fix this issue.
