Setting driver seat memory for 1999 GS 300

I bought a 99 GS 300 used, and the owner manual did not come with it. There are three buttons on the inside driver door labelled: 1, 2, Set. These are for setting and recalling 2 seat and steering wheel positions. But I do not know how to set them! I know there is some procedure involving pressing one of the numbered buttons at the same time as the "Set" button, but it must depend as well on the ignition switch position, or something else, as nothing I have tried works. Can someone please consult their owner manual and let me know the magic moves needed? It would sure be convenient to have the settings for my wife and I available at the push of a button. Thanks.

Thanks. I knew the answer had to be something like that, but I just did not know the details. Your answer worked brilliantly!

It's eas
The gear must be shiffted to P & the ignition position ON (don't start the engine) & don't press the brake.
Adjust your seat & press on the same time SET & 1 (Or 2) & hold them pressed fore few sec until a bip sound comes.

to check if it's working :change the seat position & press the memorized button(1or2)

How do you change the driver name and memory for seat and mirror adjustment on a 1997 buick park avenue ultra

I am not sure about changing the name as my 2000 park ave. only indicates driver one or driver two. To reset the memory for seat/ mirror position is rather simple: with the ignition on and the car in park, adjust your seat and mirrors to the desired position. Then press and hold the desired button (driver one or two) until you hear a beep, This is the procedure that works on my 2000 park ave. I hope this helps you.

2001 Olds Aurora Driver's Seat Problem.

The seat is programmable to each keyless remote that comes with the car. If the car has the same features as mine, when sitting in the drivers seat and you look on the drivers side door there are two buttons labeled with a 1 and a 2 and if you adjust the seat to how you want it with the car on and then press either one of those buttons and hold it down until it beeps it will then set the seat to one of the two keyless remotes which each have a 1 or 2 engraved into the plastic back of the remote. Then every time you unlock the door the seat automatically readjusts to wherever it was set when one of those buttons was pushed to save the setting.

Doors won't lock from the remote key or side pannel driver's seat. Sometimes they lock and other times they don't. Also, when I try to lock the door using the key it works at times.

Without knowing your vehicle type I would have to say this is most likely a relay issue. The good news is that they're not expensive and they're easy to replace. Look in your owner's manual and it will tell you where under the hood the door lock relay is located. They simply pull out to unplug and push back in to reinstall. Give this a try and see if it doesn't fix the problem for you. Hope this helps, good luck!
