Disconnecting battery doesnt prove that alternator is not working --have both battery and alternator tested

Alternator may be too weak. Have it tested for amperage.

SOURCE: 95 pathfinder wont stay running and doesnt charge

Check all grounds running from all electrical, If there is not a good contact this problem will occur, when you locate the ground surface take sandpaper or even a knife and scrape or sand the connector and the ground surface then reconnect it, It should return to normal if not then it could be a solenoid possibly but not sure

SOURCE: '91 honda accord battery light on with new battery.

either your alternator has gone or your fan belt is not there which helps the alternator to charge the battery get a volt meter on your alternator to see if it is kicking out what it should be

If alternator is good, it should stay running with cable off. What is your battery voltage with & without engine running?

SOURCE: The lights on my metro are dim and now it dies

Sounds like it is the alternator. If yoy have a charger, put it on for a bit. Or maybe do it during the day when you wont need headlights. But take it somewhere that will give you a free charging diagnostic. For instance AutoZone or Advance auto parts. But I am pretty confident taht you need an alternator. Especially if you have a charging light on in the dash.

I have a 1995 geo metro notice my dlr lights not working and the car wont star it wont even click or turn the motor all the fuses are fine and when turn the switch to on position engine light come on

head lights must come on, or the battery is dead.!!!
the head lights work key off. so that is first check, and first to fix.

when this happens you have a dead battery, (fuses good, and tested all fuse,in engine bay.
  1. the classic, jump start using jumper cables .
  2. charge the battery so it reads 12.6vdc rested
  3. try a known good battery in car, that works in another car.

easy, right?

What are the possible reasons my 97 geo metro won't turn over after running the battery dead, then replacing it with a brand new battery ?

blown fuse.
bad wiring
forgot to charge new battery up to 12.6vdc reseted.
the head lamps work , keys in pocket (by law) and
are #1 first thing to trouble shoot when dead (easiest)
so, got 12v at all under hood fuses? ????????
id bet not. and any $10 voltmeter can find this easy.

This little 1999 Chevy Metro, 4 cyl. 1.3L car has many problems that I'm trying to fix. At the moment, it will not start. I checked the battery (bought it 11/12), it is a good battery with 100% charge....

If you have coolant pouring out, that has to be resolved before you do anything. If this car was driven in that condition, you may have destroyed the engine already.

99 chevy metro cylinder spark

If the crank sensor has failed, there should be a trouble code in the computer for it. A mechanic would check the output signal with a meter.
The problem could also be the ignition control module that fires the coils.

if you can drive it for 5 mins, turn it off and restart it than your alternator is doing its job so your battery probably has a bad cell and getting a new battery should fix your problem

Chevy blazer won't start

Well odds are that your blazer is fixed by now. Either way sounds like a bad battery, that's why you need jumps all the time. Why it would die, there are too many possibilties off hand. So what was wrong with it?
