Question about 2001 BMW Z3
I removed my battery and when I replaced it the radio was locked. I got a code from the dealer but I can't get it to work..neither can the dealer.
My car came from the US. Would the dealer there have a different code than here in Canada?
What else can I try?
I have same problem need to get the serial number off of the back of the radio and the vin# and give that info to the dealer and he will have the code. If code still does not work ask for a different code since they installed radios from different manufacturers.

If the radio is displaying code wait, or wait, then the ignition and radio must remain on for 1hour. I would contact a dealer within the USA and provide them with your radio serial number. The serial number can be displayed in the radio by pressing and holding down the "M" button while turning on the ignition.
