similar problem but my ac suddenly quit the lighted started blinking a code then my blower kept clicking furiously and constantly had to pull fuse to stop it me and a mechanic checked it out and believe its the ac control module aka the digital control center right there in the dash its 300 bucks and only found at dealer (think this is a common problem and junkyards are bear never have this part) and seems as though you have to figure out how to disassemble the ungodly complicated dash, thats if you wanna save coin and do it yourself im open for suggestions myself, anyone, about this unnessicarily impenetrable dash

I have the same issue with mine. The lights flash and the air comes on and off. Even if the air is off it does it. I'll try the battery thing this weekend and try to post back.

So I couldn't get my negative battery cable off so I couldn't try it. I kept looking for solutions online and found one that worked. the finished panel around the radio and a/c controls is held on by clips ----start at the bottom corner of the panel and pull it away from the dash ,, you might wont to use a flat bladed screw driver to help you pry at it ---do the other corner and then work your way up the panel --until you get it off---then you can start the truck up and then unplug both connectors to the electric a/c control head ,,wait five seconds and then plug it back in ,,, if everything starts to work fine ---then you need a new electric a/c control head. It'll work for a little bit but will break again at some point. You should be able to keep doing this until you can save for a new climate control head.

Hey Boise007,try this.Disconnect the negative battery cable for about 3 minutes. Then reconnect it and try turning the a/c on again.if the lights stop flashing and the a/c starts working properly, the problem will be the a/c control heas itself.

I have 2004 f-150 heater blows cold air when swithching to heat on temp control

Check engine coolant if it is low it will cause the heat to blow clod. make sure and check it while cold. also if it only last a second or two that is normal the heat controler is in many cases operated by vacuum.

It sounds like the window motor is or regulator is bound up. You will have to take door panel off and pull connector from motor and see if you have power going to motor is you do. then the motor or regulator are bad. you can remove motor and install connector back to see if motor will work . Hope this helps.

I am going to ask a dumb question....do you have it in neutral and the brake mashed when you switch to 4WD LOW? I believe that is what my book says to do.
