1999 passat 1/8 liter tub

No spark on #1. took #2coil and place it on #1 still no fire .#2 #3 #4 all have fire or spark.could it be cam ser

It could be... or if you used the same spark plug wire to run the test it could be a bad wire.

Replaced crank shaft 99 blazer, how do I orientate the crank shaft to the cam? I have set the arrow on the cam gear down turned crank till number 1 piston is very near TDC in alinement with V on the crank...


4.3 liter, right? I think you have it right--see pic below. So it cranks but no fire happening? Did you check firing order, etc.? Getting sparks? Fuel pump coming on? Injectors firing? If you had the engine out of the car, make sure you got all the ground wires back in place, etc.

Here is the diagram you ask for. While it says it is for the 3.0L V6, it is the same for the 4.0L V6 if that's what you have...

Have your cam seals checked. Cam seals are a big problem on these cars and a major source of oil leaks. Another source is the oil cooler gasket but that doesn't appear to be the issue here as your leaks are well above the oil cooler. Good Luck.
