Look closely in the owner's manual for the code which may be written down somewhere. Look for a small white card with the code on it that came with the car when it was new. If not the 4 digit code is specific to your radio so a friends code will not work. I would first call your local Volvo dealer as they will more than likely have the code stored in their computer system. All Volvo dealers have access to the same system. Keep calling different dealers if they want to charge you for the code. Sooner or later you may find one that will give it to you for free. If the radio is displaying code then you are set to enter the code. If it says off then it is locked and you cannot enter a code.. To fix this, leave the radio on with the ignition in the accessory position for about 3 hours and the radio will again display code. The dealer may need to access the serial # off the radio to tell you the code. The code is more than likely written on the back of the radio if you want to pull the radio and look for it yourself. Another way to get the code is to go here http://www.volvocars.com/us/top/community/Pages/OwnerRegistration.aspx and register your Volvo. You can then ask for your code online. You will need the VIN #.
You will need to turn the ignition to the number 1 position and turn the radio on. It can take several hours, but the word code should come back on. When that happens, you will need to put the correct code in. If you don't have it, a Volvo dealer can give you the correct code from your VIN.
You turn the disc button I think it is, to get the numbers up you want, then push in to confirm the number you have and then bingo should be on. If you do not have the code give volvo service dept a quick call with your reg and they will fix you up with the code.
Look in the manual for the code - usually someone has written it in there. If not, call the nearest Volvo dealership and give them the VIN - they can tell you what your code is. Then, with the engine off, turn the key to the "I" position (Roman numeral one) and leave it for at least 4 hours. The radio should then read "Code. and you can enter the 4 digit number! Good Luck!
call your local volvo dealer and tell them your battery went dead and that you need radio code. they will ask you for car VIN...dont go that route, pull out radio and give them the numbers on the sticker ontop of radio. and make sure you keep the code written down. Good luck.
your going to have to call up your local volvo dealer and give them your vin number and they can look it up for you. You can try using radio-code.com but i wouldnt recomend it. Your best bet is calling your local volvo dealer and they will help you out.
