White smoke comes out tailpipe when I romp on gas. wont pass smog visual test

Visual test fail is visual white smoke out of the tail pipe?
The engine seems to be burning something it shouldn't, such as coolant, brake fluid, oil. It may have a check engine light on or may not. Give it a leak down test and check for blown gaskets. Look it up in youtube or google it.

2001 Ford E-250 has excessive oil consumption with no visible leaks and has a p301 misfire code

Do you notice any blue smoke out the tailpipe?
The P0301 code means you have a misfire in cylinder 1. If I were to put these two symptoms together, I would guess that there is oil leaking into the cylinder, which is causing it to misfire. The oil then burns out the back.
If this is the case, it is probably because your spark plug tubes are leaking. Replacing the valve cover gasket or spark plug tube seals (some cars have a valve cover gasket that has the tube seals included) will solve the problem.

You can check for the leak by pulling the spark plug wire out of that cylinder and seeing if it is oily. If it is, there is your leak.

This is just a first guess. Let me know what you find.
Also, let me know about whether or not your tailpipe has blue-colored smoke coming out.

My 1994 celica will not pass inspection because it wont hold pressure. there is a vapor leak dont have smoke machine

You won't find a leak without a repair shop & evap smoke machine
& system diagram, unless you see a rotted hose & get lucky.

You could go thru the entire system & remove & test all components,
but you would be there for a long time & the car is too old to be
pulling on stuff you don't need to

Black smoke from tailpipe, loss of power, anyone know?

What year, make and model car is this? Most likely, black smoke is
usually a carburator problem. If it's fuel injected, black smoke can be caused by 1) leaking or faulty fuel injecters, 2) faulty choke, 3)dirty air
filter or 4) faulty distributor cap and/or rotor. Hope this helps.

My van is getting into the red is it the thermastat

it could be your thermostat, or a head gaasket. does it leak antifreeze? is there any smoke coming out of the tailpipe? no smoke probably means your headgasket is good. if it leaks antifreeze you could have a bad waterpump......depending on where its leaking from

Antifreeze in the motor wut do i do?

It's normal for the check engine light to be on when the car's engine is not running. If the car is turning over but won't start under its own power, then there maybe another problem unrelated to antifreeze being low in level. Did you ever notice white smoke coming from the tailpipe indicating a head gasket leak? If so, then the antifreeze is likely coming out of the tailpipe when running, or there is a slow leak in something say like the water pump gasket or shaft. It's a good idea to check what codes are tripped using an obd-II scanner to point you in the right direction. Good luck on this repair.

Put an alt. that has built in reg. charges great, but check eng. light stays on?

check the vacumn pipes as this is a old vehicle and not a lot is that complicated compared to modern vehicles so this light is just turned on for no oil pressure or water level also a vacumn leak to the ignition advance unit,Yes no OBDII on a vehicle this age which means that most young mechanics wouldnt have a clue unless they plug something in and play bill gates ,if in doubt use a automotive multimeter and check the dwell ,voltages on the O2 sensors and so on then you should find the fault but check the vacumn pipe to ignition module first
