Had same problem with 1998 sebring. Water in trunk back interior floor.Along bottom edge of side panel where it is welded there are drain holes that plug up with debris.Use a small nail.to poke up into these drain holes They angle to the back. When I did this water started draining out. Never had the problem again.

Here's a solution i got from another sebring owner. He said to by some vasoline and coat the rubber seals that the window's touch. This will make the foam swell and keep out wind and road noise.
I would suggest doing this in a heated garage or in warmer weather.

!991 buick park avenue. the trunk fills with water during heavy rains..resealing rear window didn't help..where in the heck is the drain plug for the trunk..if any?

There is no drain plug. For the leaks be certain to investigate: sunroof drains, taillight seals, and the trunk seal. Many trunk seals actually channel water into the trunk. New designs are available on many GMs.

My car was hit in the right rear quarter panel which caused damage to my trunk area but that was a couple of years ago but for the past year when ever it rains I get water in my trunk only on the right...

Remove trunk liner. Put a light dusting of baby powder down. Close trunk and wet rear of car with hose. Check for leaks. May be a tail light leaking.

Everytime it rains hard my carpet is wet by the door on the driver side and also driver side rear door

There is a great possibilty that there is a leak on the Left Side of the Windshield. It is most likely in the area of the upper left side.
The reason for this conclusion is:
The rain water is coming in the Left Upper Side; and either coming down the "A" Pillar, or traveling underneath the trim on the inside roof and coming down the "B" Pillar.
The only other explanantion is a torn, worn, cracked or dislocated Weather Seal on one or both of the doors, allowing rain water to come in. Inspect very carefully these Weather Seals, especially on the top front portion of the rear door.
To help you locate these after a hard rain:
Take the trim panels off the "A: and "B" Pillars and the Roof Line above both Doors. Check for wetness underneath the trim. Or take these trim panels off, and place folded paper towels under the trim panels; reattach the trim panels and wait until it rains. Afterwhich, take these trim panel off and check the paper towels for wetness.
The Windshield Seal is easily inspected for cracks and tears.

buy some foam spray from a can spray it around trunk seam bottom not trunk lid. close trunk to let it dry and shape foam. also check for any holes in trunk. remove all padding to look for wholes. spray foam into any holes found. this foam can also be trimmed after it dries and hardens.

1997 Toyota Camry LE. During wet weather, water

Most of the problems come when its raining and if its not being driven and water still comes in then its the bonnet rubber and if when its being driven then its due to the rear wheel throughing up water under wheelarch and somewhere theres a crack in the weld or somewhere and it will find its way in..
So if not using it clean it out and when rain stops look inside no rain no leak Have a goodday

Water is leaking into the trunk of my 2005 Honda accord whenever it rains

My 1990 Honda Accord does this too.
When I wash it or when it rains. If I open the trunk/deck lid water flows out of the right rear tail light housing into the trunk.

Solution: get some rubber gasket sealant and apply under the lower gasket around the rear window on each side at the corners. Allow for drying time. Close the trunk and try some water if this doesn't work you will likely have to replace the rear window seal.

Best of luck.

When it rains water in in the rear sloshing

Many cars do have drain holes that are along the rain wells, or where the rain flows down around the lip of the trunk. If you pop open the trunk, look along the lip of the trunk for what appears to be craters or indentations along this trail. You may have to run your finger along the rim to find them. Many times they fill with dirt, or other debris and get plugged. This happened to me and I had someone blow them clear with an air hose.
