You have a few blown fuses; either under the hood or in the dash fusebox. Hooking up jumper cables backwards will pop a lot of fuses. I see this quite a bit.

My daughter car battery went dead had a jump start but her cousin put the leads on the wrong terminal could this have blown the main fuse as no lights at all put new battery on today

Yes this will defiantly blow the main engine fuse. This fuse is located in the engine compartment and is usually bolted down with 10mm bolts.

I have a 2000 jeep cherokee sport and it will not start with the key anymore, there is no clicking sound when you try to start it and battery is brand new, but i can jump it on the starter, my husband put...

If you have power to the small trigger lead on the starter when you turn the key to the on position, problem could be the starter or the starter solenoid. If there is no power there check the starter relay and relay connections. Could also be the ignition switch itself.
Only test after the battery is verified as good, terminals are clean and both ends of battery main wires are checked for tightness.

My subaru impreza 2.0 turbo AWD engine has cut out 3 time in the last couple of weeks! the engine just dies no warning lights come on and after a while it restarts as if nothing wrong! no unusual noises...

Could be an air flow fault, check all your air pipes for holes or splits and also check the air flow meter and sensor. just clean them up before going any further.

Also check the earth lead from the battery to the slam panel, and to the gearbox make sure all the earths have a good contact to the car body.

Why does car make constant ticking noise from metal expanding and contracting . Even makes ticking noise when running. Same noise you hear when you turn car off.

The exhaust system on your car is stainless steel, and it heats and cools quickly, there is nothing wrong with this. all your hearing is the joints in the exhaust system expanding and contracting. My 2007 impreza 2.5 does the same thing. And when you turn car off the system is cooling off and contracting.

Jump starting a car with an immobiliser

use another vehicle and start by connecting the jump leads from the negative on one battery to the negative on the other and do the same with the positive, the positive is the one with the cross or the red wires. dont worry if u get a little spark when connecting the jump leads its perfically normal, then simply start the other vehicle up and leave it running for aruond 5 minuates then try starting your can.(you may need to rev the other car up a bit to raise the power being transfered) be very careful not to put the jump leads on the wrong terminals.
i hope this advice helps u,
