Still runs good but having problems with the alarm system.

I just had the same problem with my '02 altima SE.
Took it to Buckeye Nissan in Hilliard OH. and they had to replace the two crank sensors which.
The sensors themselves were about $44.00 a piece, but w/labor about $300.00 was the total. Hope this helps.....Now if I can just get the heater working!

SOURCE: Transmission fixed but car still jerks from first ito second gear

Interesting that the fuel injector is under the manifold! must be an american car! lol..... if there is a problem with the manifold this would indicate exhaust problem! (state the obvious) did you machanic touch/ remove the Lambda sensor???? try also testing the AMP at the EGR valve if it has one! absolute manifold pressure should stabilise when revving the engine! if this drops then perhaps there is a problem with the mainfold gasket! would be good to get a Gas reading as to narrow the fault to the EGR or Lambda.

Hope this hepls.

I have same/similar problem.... if this problem happens off and on... runs well one day and next day is jerky-stalling then it's more than likely your airflow meter

Car jerks on freeway and engine shuts off.

It sounds like your Mass Air Flow Sensor is faulty. These sensors will normal show fault when cruising at highway speeds causing the vehicle to almost stall or stall. Replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor with a known good one and test drive the vehicle. This will most likely repair your concern.

"car jerks/jumps"

These is because of the improper combustion, so you better check the air filter and the exhaust along with that you replace all the spark plugs

2002 Honda Accord. Engine does slow start and jerks

sounds like you have a problem with the spark the coil may be on its way out or there may be oil in the spark plug holls shorting out the spark.
your best bet is to pull the leads out 1 at a time and and look down and check for oil if there is oil there get a new rocker cover gasket.
if no oil refit plug leads loosely and start the car remove one lead at a time slowly and look at the spark cumming out the end off the lead is it blue? if so it is ok if it is yellow and dull you have a coil problem. also check that the spark is only comming out the end of the lead as it may be comming ou the side of the lead and shorting to earth,
you can do this by slowly moving the lead around the top of the sparkl plug holl and see were the spark is comming from

be carfull no to shock your self as it herts like hell

good luck
