Question about 2007 Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS

1 Answer

Passenger side window, lock and rear mirror

I purchased my 2007 Chevy Trailblazer LS used, and didn't realize that the passenger side window/lock, as well as the rear mirror on the passenger side were non-functional. The vehicle is still under warranty, however, the chevy dealership says that the part they need to replace is not a chevy part, so it is not under warranty. Is this one single part or is it multiple parts, and are they sold in the "after market" or do I have to purchase from a chevy dealer/service.

I believe that's what they meant when they said it was a "non-chevy part." I believe the vehicle was wrecked before going to auction and the previous owner never reported it so it didn't come up on the vehicle history report. The dealership I purchased from were real jerks and refused to fix it.

The window / lock switch and the mirror switch are separate parts. There are no aftermarket switches available. The GM parts are going to run $200-300 for the set. It is very strange that all of the parts on the passenger door do not work. It seems like someone disconnected the plug that goes from the A-pillar to the door. If the door was replaced maybe someone forgot to hook it up.

They have no reason not to cover the part, unless like they say it is an aftermarket add on.

If it isn't a chevy part, then what kind of part is it?? I don't understand why they would say that. if it is in your truck then it should be a chevy part. If the vehicle was sold to you with these parts in and the whole truck was part of the warranty then it shouldn't matter. do you have aftermarket waranty or factory warranty. I think if the parts were in the truck when it was sold to you, and it had a warranty then all the parts listed in the warranty should be covered. (unless they are an add on piece) eg remote starter, stereo, speakers etc, things that would have been fitted after the purchase.

Passenger side windows, door locks, power mirror. on 2003 trailblazer dont work

The electrical functions on this car that you have mentioned are controlled by a module called the Body Control Module or BCM for short. Whenever a malfunction like this occurs you need to have the dealer or a well equipped shop hook up an electronic system scan tool, it will actively test the systems of the car and return fault codes indicating where to start the diagnosis of the electrical problem, in your case that can be the wiring to the door or the BCM is malfunctioning. I would be inclined to think the wiring is at fault here..

I just bought a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer yesterday. The passenger window and mirror does not work. Any suggestions on what to check?

Check the fuses under the drivers side dash panel. Remove and replace any that are burnt or bad. that may solve your problem.

My passenger side front door lock won't work and my passenger side remote mirror.

Both of those are controlled by the Passenger Side Door Module inside the door itself. It is necessary to read the data from your Body Control Module (BCM) to properly diagnose the cause of the failure.

I had AAA unlock my passenger door lock after I had forgetten my keys in the car on 2007 chevy impala. Now the passenger door doesn't lock or unlock with the door switch or keyless remote how can I fix it?

They probably released the cable from it's catch mechanism and fell in the window cavity. Need to peel off the door panel to reveal the locking system, reconnect the cable that fell off. This happens when a slim-jim is used, pulling the cable upwards simulating the pull action when you operate the door release.

How to replace passenger side mirror on 2007 Camry

To remove mirror pry off inside triangle panel(black) which exposes 3 nuts which are removed with socket wrench. Detach wire harness and pull out mirror assembly. To replace insert new mirror screws thru assigned holes and reconnect wire harness and tighten nuts to snug. Push inside triangle panel back into place and you're done! It's that easy.
