This sensor is a resistor based sensor which detects the intake air temperature. According to the intake air temperature reading the ECM will control the necessary amount of fuel injection.
Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the connector from the sensor.
  3. Remove the sensor retaining screws, as required.
  4. Remove the air cleaner and air intake assembly, as required.
  5. Remove the sensor from its mounting.
To install:
  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

Wher is horn locaded on 1995 olds cutless

In the front cowl behind the radiator, on engine side...there are 2 horns, with 2 different sounds...(high pitch-low pitch) You may need to remove the air filter box to have access. There is also a fuse that can fail, or the horn button itself (under the steering wheel airbag) Hope this helps...

You may have a serious problem. Take to An Auto parts store, they may run error codes and help understand what is going on.
I had a car that behaved very bad, turned out to be the air mass meter was bad.

Will a bad oxygen sensor give me bad gas mileage in my 07 pacifica with the 4.0L engine. Will hhoking it up to a computer give me any indication that it is bad.

Bad 02 sensor will give bad mileage, as car is starving for air, sometimes computers will not detect if it is bad, slot of simple performance problems results from 02 sensors, fuel filters, dirty injectors, poor fuel, dirty air filters. Those are some the main things to look at for best fuel mileage and performance. Hope this helped, please let me know. Thanks, mike from fixya

Check Engine light code P0171

This means the bank 1 sensor is showing that it is running lean this may be due to a bad oxygen sensor, fuel being restricted to the engine, or even a bad mass air flow sensor which could cause the computer to try and compensate air/fuel mixture. O2 sensors are rather pricey and should be checked by a scanner. They should have a minimum and maximum voltage read and if it is out of whack to normal specifications then that is the faulty sensor.

I'm getting poor fuel economy, 11mpg overall. I have the 3.9 with TBI, just replaced plugs and wires, cap and rotor are new also. Replaced air filter recently. Exhaust smells weird, like the engine runs...

Oxygen sensor. They tend to fail by sending the engine computer a steady lean reading. the computer then runs the TBI rich in order to compensate for the false lean condition.

Also, the Engine Coolant Temperature sensor. If it fails and shows the engine to be ice cold when it is really warm, the computer will schedule lots of fuel.

Intake Air Temperature sensor. same result as ECT above. Computer sees nothing but cold dense air all the time and schedules more fuel.

I have my engine light on, in my xg300 Hyundai 2001 if i replace the mass air flow sensor and my fuel air metering my light go off, Im a woman trying too fix my car my self pls help tks code...

check engine light will not go out or codes cleared till computer is cleared so if you have set off a code while trying to diagnose it will stay in memory with that in mind

PO171 & 174 are related to bank 2 lean o2 sensor reading high oxygen in exhaust at sensors
PO120 has to do with throttle position sensor input out of range
PO306 is a misfire in #6 cylinder

in my opinion any miss will cause o2 sensors to read lean because the cyl is in effect a air pump sensors only pick up o2 not the fuel does you engine run rough or hesitate/shaking on acceleration
i would check coil wire and plug for #6 also the injector not working will cause miss also they look ok do compression test on cyl will read 150psi if you find cause of miss you will be able to diagnose lean

with the tps sensor check to see if the connector was disconnected at any time you were testing

basically you need to isolate misfire and fix then have the computer cleared of codes drive car and if engine light comes on then we will go through test procedures for new codes

i hope this helps you to get a few ideals on how to proceed good luck ley me know

Leaving a stop sign had a bit of a "pop" and its dogging in 1st gear, check engine light is on, checked code it came back "mass air input low" changed mass air still has engine light on and sucks in 1st...

You will need to have the computer reset after having new part replaced, otherwise computer won't read it for 20 starts. Double check for any vacuum leaks. Bad 02's sensors or camshaft position sensor will also cause this

Check engine light won't stay off

you could have a short in your o2 sensor wire and there for its not reading.Get a shop to hook up a diagnotic scanner and read what they are doing so you can see if its a loss of comunication or not and then go from there. Also make sure it was factory replacement o2 sensors and not one of those multifit jobs.

Check engine light on

I would think there is a problem with a sensor which my be an IAC Sensor. That makes the idle air control Hi or lo depending on what the motor is calling for. Have a shop take a computer reading and see what sensor is bad, As for the air There is a Air condition Amplifier and there may be a problem with that its not common but sounds like it may be the problem with your trailblazer. I sure hopes you out Flash68, If not get back to me and we can trouble shoot some more. Take care Bear001
