Car has new battery new engine , and clicks as well . key turns put wont turn on .we have 1990 acura integra. the car was stolen few moths ago can it have anything to do with how they stole the car.

possible bad ignition if the broke the ignition this could have damaged some of the wires. if the ignition is not damaged does the car click at all while trying to start? if so this means the relay is good . if not check any relays in the fuse area. or even a bad or broken ground wire. if it clicks it could also be the starter... this is a troubleshooting issue you will need to tackle if you feel ok doing so . if not please leave it to the pros..... good luck.

My 97 audi a6 wont start or jump start.

It sounds like you have a couple of problems going on. First if your car wont start it could be the starter but if there is no noise you may have an ignition problem. Ignition problems usually occur in the steering wheel column. Try tilting your stearing wheel up and down a couple of times. If that does not work it might be your starter if it is you can get under your car and arc it. Or it could be your altenator but the only way to test that is if you take it off and take it to napa or something . I hope it is your altenator because it is usually a quick and cheep fix. good luck.

Dear sir, I have got a verna diesel car.Few days back i got its fuel and oil filter changed. Now the problem is whenever start the car after long rest it starts but starter motor does not crank at all when...

sounds like the starter motor is playing as the insulation in the windings is breaking down so its works when its cold but when its hot the insulation is shorting out ,thats if the motor turns but very slow when hot .

High pitch winding noise on cold start up.

Sounds like a constricted IAC Idle air control valve passsage. Fairly simple to fix. Remove air filter trunking all the way to the throttle body to allow access. The IAC allows air passed the throttle when closed at idle. Just on the inside of the throttle body in front of the throttle flap there is an opening in the throttle wall. This is the air inlet to the IAC; there is an outlet similar on the other side of the throttle. Use carb cleaner and cloth to shift the grime from this tubing and get it like new. Hold the throttle flap open to get at both ends of the IAC tubing. The IAC can be detached and cleaned to a shine. Reinstall the IAC and replace all air pipe ducting. Leave for about 20 minutes to allow any cleaner residue to dry out. When you restart you might experience a bit of uneven running but this will disappear very quickly as the last of the cleaner dries out

When ignition is switched on their is a whirring sound and engine wont turn over.and start.

It sound like the lobes on the starter's shaft have worn down and aren't making positive contact with the flywheel anymore. A "whirring sound" would be the starter motor spinning but not "catching". If it's a clicky/buzzing sound then it would more likely be the starter solenoid, low battery/bad alternator.
The "whirring" sound should still be winding down for just a second after you turn the key off. The "buzzing" symptom will stop instantly when you turn the key off.

How do I turn off service engine light on 1988 volvo 740 gle

One way that always works is to disconnect the battery for at least ten minutes. If the cause of the check engine light turning on in the first place is not fixed, then the light will come on again pretty quickly after starting the car.
To reset your service light here are the steps.

1. Get in your car and shut the door.
2. Put your key in the ignition
3. Turn your ignition key to position 1
4. Push in your Odometer reset button and hold it in while holding it move the ignition key to position 2 while holding down the odometer reset button.
5. After couple of seconds of holding the button down and the key in position 2 your service light will start to blink once that happens let go of the reset button and start the car.

Hard to start, 2.8 TD Pajero 1996

warm up the engine and turn it off then try to turn the crankshaft pulley with a suitable wrench. if its too hard to turn by hand then the bearings might be too tight.

My 99 dodge durango keeps on turning off!!

its not the battery ... its the computer overheating... mine does too... here is the quick fix for when it happens... as far as ive found there is no perminant fix....
there is a grouping of wires in the engine over the right front tire going to the computer... if you wiggle those till you hear a click in the fuse box on the other side of the engine.. you can start it right up... replacing parts probably wont help.. it sucks i know.. its just dodge. after you get it started up turn on the heat in the vehicle and if its hot outside roll down the windows... the temp will start to come back down ... faster driving speeds will help keep it cool too. stop and go is no good
