There is only one fuse for the whole stereo unit. The symptoms that you describe are related to a switch inside the unit that sense when a disk is inserted and turn the radio off and the cd player on. It could also be the front end of the radio, especially if it is a Dodge product.
I have a 2002 Cadillac Escalade EXT I was removing the aftermarket CD player and it's parked now my gas gauge and speedometer and center console doesn't work what do I do
With DVD player on hit the button on steering wheel to change source. It will come on thur speakers. Screen will show turn off turn off front back or all.
If you have an aftermarket stereo, you need to check your wires. You may have an incorrect wire connected. Disconnect the radio harness and turn the lights on and see if the dash lights go out. If they don't the stereo wiring is the problem.
I take it you have a cd stacker
PRESS AND HOLD eject button, insert credit card under cartridge
Push card firmly in,move left -right,this will locate micro switch.
Cartridge should pop out so you can check discs
If I unplug all the wires from the CD player won't the security system lock up my stereo system? Which means that I have to go to a dealer to get the code from them.
