Question about 1999 Chevrolet Lumina
Traveling down road and lost speed. The speedometer goes to 0, RPM's race and check engine light comes on. Doesn't matter if I change gears from D, to 1, 2 or 3.
Sounds like a cv joint has failed. Have you ever noticed a clicking sound while turning and the car is in motion? If so, I am almost certain that one or all of the cv joints have failed. If this proves to be the case, it is a complicated repair and should be referred to a competent and certified mechanic.
