My driverside window goes down and wont go up

If you never have worked on a car or inside a door,
then a repair shop

I would say if it goes down, it works, at least the motor
That leaves a failed switch in the up position or broken
window regulator

My passenger window won't go down

you should check the fuses first, then ensure power to the motor in the passenger side if no power check the switches for the power windows. Also it is common for window motors/ regulators to fail and have to be replaced. If the driver's one is running slowly remove door panel and lubricate the cables and tracks with some rust check or wd 40 etc, etc... and silicone lube on the guide tracks at either end of the window. hope this helps

Window comes down but won't go back up

Since you hear the motor, it's probably the cable connecting the motor to the regulator, but the cable itself is not replaceable. The regulator and motor come as an assembly.

Driverside window stays down

there is a module that drives the regulator power window assembly.
the module(express widow module) is probably at fault.
if the module does not register that the window is all the way down,it will not allow the window to go up.

I need to replace the driverside power window motor on 1986 Ford

if i remember correctly it comes as a assembly with the regulator fabricated on to it. just a thought you can usually find a salvage yard to get assmbly for around 25. to 35. bucks cash and carry.
also alot of these yards have their own glassmen that can install for u at additional cost. if you would like.

hope 2 help shack

Window regulator

There are several screws/bolts that keep the window connected to the regulator. Once those are removed, you can angle the window up and out.

Driverside window will not roll down

hello , well it looks like you could have two problems so i am going to give you different senarios .if the window makes noise when you hit the switch and the glass does not go down this is just a window regulator defective and it needs to be replaced . if it does not make any noise and it does not move at all there is no current in the window motor or the window motor is bad (not likely) /chek for fuses they are in glove box top inside open small white tabs , about the switch for canselling window fuction some times this switch goes bad because of coffe spills of fluids ., if this is the case just replace it for a new switch , (check for stickyness in the switch )
