Question about Mitsubishi Outlander

1 Answer

Car runs then stalls. i drained fuel filter. my misubishi pajero runs then stalls it is a very irregular occurance more often than not happens during wet weather although it has happened on dry days. Sometimes its been running perfectall day then i start it after stopping for a while and 500m up the road it stalls. The motor kicks over but once the revs reach 1000 you can hear click click click of the electronic control and the car shuts down. i'll turn the motor over sometimes it takes 5 tries sometimes twentyfive but eventually it starts normal and will be fine until the motor has been switched off for a while. tried everything i can think of in the past 18months still can't solve problem

My Misubishi Endeavor stalled. While idling at a traffic light.why and what can be done to fix the problem?

There are numerous conditions that can cause stalling. Tune up overdue. Air controll motor going bad, fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, severely clogged air filter, vacuume leak.

I'd suggest a proffessional Diagnosis a a reputable shop.

if stalling occurs when foot on brake, then chances are you have an air leak,in either the hose from the inlet manifold to the brake servo or a leaking brake servo,as the hose is the cheaper of the two to replace try that first.....

2001 Jetta Intermittent Run Problem

I had a similar problem with my Jetta, and it turned out to be the fuel filter. It was a cheap fix, just make sure you fill the new filter with fuel before installing so you do not have an issue starting it again.

Let me know if this works.
