Question about 1998 Jeep Cherokee
My car shuts off, then i will wait about fifteen minutes and it will
start again. Yesterday i went to drop my daughter off and my car shut
off, the next day i went to check to see if it will start and it did. I
don't know what the problem is

Also try changing your crank position sensor, cost is about $60-$80, the sensor is located at the 11 oclock position on the bellhousing of the transmisson, it is a fairly easy job to you'll need a 11mm socket with extensions, just did this job for a friend of mine, she was having the same issues and has nnone since changing the sensor

I've heard this is a very common problem with the 88's, and the best research I've found so far suggests that you should replace the crankshaft position sensor - it's only about $30, but requires a little work.
