I ran my 01 dodge durango pretty low on gas a few times. It was running fine when i pulled up to the gas pump. I put about 6 gallons in and when I started it, it has been shaking and sputtering ever since. What might the problem be?

I did forget to mention that the check engine light is on. I put 9 more gallons of premium gas and a bottle of heat. Still seems sluggish but a little better. If you have a check engine light on the you want to go to Auto Zone, NAPA or your local major parts store and they will read your codes for free. Write them down and then have them cleared. when an error is detected by one of the many sensors in your vehicle it is sent to the PCM and the light comes on. The fact that it is on mean it is still an active code. So now you definitively have something else going on (or had).
