MOST LIKELY IT WILL BE COMEING FROM THE THIRD BRALE LIGHT AREA, YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE TRIM AND CAP PADING TO BE ABLE TO SEE THE INSIDE OF THE RAW CAB , THE HAVE SOME ONE SPRAY IT DOWN WITH A WATER HOSE AND LEAK SHOUD SHOW ITS SELF
something puts bcm into safe mode. take neg. battery cable off and touch it to pos. post for 30 sec. leave unconnected for 6 hrs then reconnect. should work after that. just did mine. dealer wanted 400$ to change door switch
Water on the floor board in the back seat is usually caused by a leaking rear window, or leaking back glass...you will need to remove the inner rear door panels to confirm the exact leak...(as long as it is warm enough:) after removing the door panels...you can ask a friend to help...run water from a garden hose over the outside, and continue until you see the location of where the water is coming from...if the rubber seals on the top or bottom of the doors are bad...this certainly allows the rain (water) to come inside...Nice Car and worth fixing...:)
WATER LEAK IN RIGHT FRONT OF PASSENGER COMPARTMENT
Publication Date: January 17, 2006
2005/06 Freestyle ISSUE:
Some 2005 Freestyle vehicles may exhibit a water leak at the right front passenger compartment. This may be due to grommet for rear washer fluid line at dash not being fully seated. ACTION:
Inspect windshield washer grommet from inside vehicle under dash and properly seat if out of position. Pull carpet back and reach under bulkhead pad to install. Removal of instrument panel is not required. (Figure 1)
I had the same problem with my truck, ieven took it to a window repair shop while driving home it started to rain lord a behold,I looked on the back sit and it was wet. After all that i found out that the water was comming in from the break lite on top of the roof.all you have to do is take the cover off and replace the seal around the cover because it is worn out or get some sealeant and place it around the inside cover.
there should not be a problem at all give these guys a call they only sells GM-parts its Schram auto & truck 1-800-292-1092 and they website is www.schramauto.com wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.
Did you have the windshield replaced recently? This is typically caused by faulty installation of a windshield. Sometimes it can be fixed by adding windshield sealant (polyurethene, not silicone) where the windshield is adhered to the subframe - most likely along the bottom edge.
Possibly a clogged sunroof drain - it runs down one of the pillars inside and out the bottom of the car just behind the rear wheel. If one of those is clogged, it could backfill and leak out onto your seats.
