Question about 2000 Volkswagen Jetta TDI
I bought a 2000 Jetta about a month ago. I noticed there is a yellow/orange lights that stays on constanly. It's a round circle looking light with little - - - dashes around it on each side. It doesn't say anything but my son has a 2007 or 2008 Jetta and he says his does not have that light. Is it a problem or is it suppose to be on? Thank you
I have the same vehicle it means the airbag isnt working

My '01 TDI had the same issue and apparently it was a switch gone bad behind the horn and airbag. . . so no idea if the airbag would have worked had I been in an accident. Definately worth going to VW and having it looked at though. Better safe than sorry.
