1993 Ford Probe GT Fuel cutoff light

1st time poster here. Great to see a site like this exists! Thanks. Now to my dilemma LOL. I bought a used 93 GT and after about 2 months of driving it, my fuel cutoff light was comming on and my car died. I took it to a shop and I ended up needing a new distributer because I was getting no spark. They replaced it and roughly 25-30 kms later, the light briefly came on. It does this after driving it around that distance. I asked my Mechanic and he said not to worry because the ignition problem was fixed. He said it is more than likely another lesser problem with a sensor and not to worry myself. I am extremely paranoid now just because of the fact the car died when it did this last time. Maybe coincidental, but none the less, I am extremely nervous. I have a feeling it could be my cars computer. Please, could someone help me with any suggestions? It would be more than appreciated! Where is the fuel line for a 93 ford probe gt? and is the fuel pump in the fuel tank. and why is my fuel cutout light on?

The fuel lines run from the fuel pump (which is in the tank) under the car to the to the fuel rail in the top of the engine. The fuel cutoff light means that the inertia switch has been triggered. It is a black box with a red button located in the hatch area.

Want to replace fron in 93 ford probe

1993 is a split year, if you have charging ports are a little bigger than the size of a tire valve stem then u have R12, if they are big then you have R134, most all Ford in 93 use R12. In the picture are adapters for a retrofit to R134, these screw on an R12 port, note the large cap R134 cap on the end of the adapter.

I have a 93 ford probe se the fuel cutoff light is on

when you are traveling about 35 or 40 mph press the brake just hard enough to make shudder let off do it again let and off. if you can control the shudder that way then its the brake if does not do it til you slow to a certian speed then the problem may be engine related. As far as the low idle there is an idle stabilizer which can definitely cause that problem. Or in some case an aged timing belt can cause similar issuses
