Your rotors are warped and will need to be replaced. Buying the new rotors from Advance Auto will cost around $70 plus I'd recommend replacing the front pads while you're at it which would add another $25. If you want premium stuff the price could be 2-3X what I list above.

Replacing the rotors and pads is not difficult though you will need to pay attention to what you're doing. Even a Haynes service manual would provide plenty of information to walk you through it quite well.

Front brake rotors can warp in heavy use. When it becomes warped it'll cause the steering wheel to shake when brakes are applied.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Van will start to shake the whole van and the steering wheel. it has started to make a noise. i have checked the tires and they are not loose. thank you for the help.

if it shakes going slow, like parking lot speed, check the front tires, you may have a tire with a belt coming apart. What kind of noise? Wheel bearing? brakes?

1997 Ford Aerostar...rattle in front wheels...rattle stops when I step on the brakes... Also...vibration when I accelerate and when I slow down.

Hello, it sounds like you have a possible wheel bearing or brake problem. first support the van on jackstands and shake the front tires, if you feel alot of play in the wheel bearings they may need to be tightened up, this is done by using a torque wrench to set the bearing load, if you need to get the torque sequence it can be found in the repair manuals at auto parts stores. if you shake the wheels and it feels tight with no excessive play it may be a brake issue, you need to look at the backing plate to make sure it isnt rubbing on the rotor.

Frontend shakes when braking, sometimes - have

The actual disc rotors have warped with heat (eg, driving with foot lightly on brake pedal). Easy fix, take it to a brake shop and get them to true the rotors. In New Zealand, we have guys that come to you to do it but essentially, they use a lathe and trim disc provided it doesn't go below manufacturers specs for thickness.

Emergency brake stuck on 96 plymouth grand voyager

usually if you grab the e brake cable just in front of the rear wheel and shake the hell out of it on each side of the van it will let go. later you should fix the problem because it will only get worse.

Engine shakes when Idling/ Check Engine Light started blinking

i just fixed a similar problem on my van there is a rubber elbow on the end of the pvc hose that connects to the valve cover you can only buy the elbow with the hose and it costs about 100 bucks but i guess they have had to replace a lot of these because the new one looks twice has strong you just have to check and see if its collapsed in on itself preventing air movement or leaking the shop will charge you 175 dollars to fix it plus the part but it only takes 20 minutes good luck

Cranking noise when i turn my car

sounds like u need to see the dealer on the start problem, to many possibilities, if I had to guess I would say engine problems, the brake issue is warped brake rotors, they need to be taken off and replaced or turned true on a brake rotor lathe.
