Jaguar x 2.0 Diesel Problem no power alot of black smoke coming out as you drive , now i have oil on rad and all over battery

run fault codes and look for EGR valve and pcv valve faults. Black smoke is unburnt diesel so it may be the injectors need attention. If it is a turbo then check the oil lines to the turbo and check turbo operation as it may not be producing air pressure for the engine.

I have a 1986 300 GD Mercedes wagon with a 617 ,5cly diesel none turbo. Its injection pump has only one vacuum line to it for a kill switch. Now I bought a 1978 300TD for the 5 cyl diesel to put in my wagon...

email me at iambanshee74@yahoo.com and put your wallet away. I have some manuals in my archives that I would not mind sharing. That is for a 123 body and I do have the vacuum and engine diagrams/manuals you will need. Great little cars.

Can you tell me the oil capacity of the 5 cylinder inline engine.

I presume you have the 300D diesel. If this is the case, you will need 6 quarts for non-turbo, and 8 quarts for the turbo 300DT. Both include a filter change.

1983 mercedes 300d turbo diesel automatic electrical problem

There is a junction block about 6 inches in front of the battery on the fender, there should be battery voltage on the big wires. The small wire is the starter solenoid. Front the junction block, the power goes to the light switch then to the ignition switch.

Good Luck

Accidently put gas in 1987 300d turbo diesel. what do i do?

You have to drain you fuel tank completely, and refill with diesel only.
Hopefully it didn't already cause too much damage to the glow plugs and engine in general.

I HAVE LOST ALL VACUUM FROM THE ENGINE TO THE VACUUM MANIFOLD ON MY 1997 7.3 TURBO-DIESEL F250 4WD. WHERE CAN I FIND VACUUN SYSTEM DIAGRAM SO THAT I CAN TROUBLESHOOT IT?

There is a vacuum pump on these since this engine does not develop any.It is driven by the fan belt.On the left front of engine i believe. Notorious for failure. Place a vacuum gage in /on suction port, should get a mimum of 18 in. hg. If ok check for broke hoses ,plastic lines, and fittings.Hope this helps. Please rate me.Thanks.
