Question about 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix
Had the same problem. It started out shifting hard from gear to gear and then started to slip as I went up hill or heavy acceleration. Didn't need a new transmission. The sensor in the transmission had gone bad. Replaced the sensor and 60,000 miles later still going strong. Costs about $750 to $800 to replace the sensor in the transmission.
