Question about 1994 Honda Civic Del Sol
And when it does start it would idle like at 100rpm and if i try to give gas it would off....It's really aggravating cause i cant figure out what could be.Please if any one has a solutions i would apreciate it so much it's my only car.
Idle speed on the Del Sol is controlled by an Idle Air Control valve (IAC) which is controlled by the ECM. A warmed up engine should be adjusted to 650 -759 RPM with the two wires to the IAC disconnected. Always disconnect and reconnect wires with the ignition turned off.
A defective IAC will set a code 14 on the computer, which can be caused by the wires being loose, a defective valve, etc. You can reset this code by removing the back up fuse under the hood for 10 seconds.
Also, the ignition timing should be set to 16 degrees BTDC @ 650 -750 RPM with a jumper wire connected between the brown and black wire terminals of the timing check connector located behind the passenger side kick panel.

Take these steps and try a good old fashioned tune up :
1 : Air Filter
2 : Fuel Filter
3 : Spark Plugs
4 : Spark Plug Wires
5 : Oil Change (with new oil filter)
6 : Bottle of Fuel System Cleaner
7 : Quart of oil additive (such as rislone or comparable; helps eliminate any sludge build up)
Take those steps and see if it starts running better. You'd be really surprised at how much of a difference a simple tune up can make.
If this doesn't correct the problem it could be a problem with the throttle adjustment. I believe the Del Sol has a throttle adjuster on it, but I could be wrong. I just can't remember as I've only peered under the hood of a few of these cars. I'd suggest the tuneup though, as a lot of times people tell me that it's like a miracle how much of a change they see in their vehicles after just a simple tune up.
