Question about 2001 Hyundai Elantra
I'd check out the EGR valve first. I had an olds do that SAME exact thing. No warning, no lights just a dead car after highway driving for about 5-10 minutes. I cleaned it up and it happened still but not near as often. I spent over 300 bucks on a new one (as the model of engine was only ran 2 years and those were pretty hard to find parts for). Problem was solved.
If it's not that, time to look into fuel filters, then possibly overheating issues. Maybe it's time for a anti-freeze flushing?
