Changing 2001 Honda Odyssey clock back light

Try cleaning Throttle body or replace Intake Air Control Valve , it should solve the problem

if just it?, the lamp has burned out, old cars dont have live time LED.
run the dimmer lower and the others will last the life of car.

You must have damaged a wheel speed sensor. You now need to have the dealer scan the system and verify that I am correct. Don't throw parts at it, get it diagnosed.

The clock back light comes on when the ignition key is turned to on. If the key is on and the parking and/or headlights are turned on, the clock back light becomes controlled by the instrument lights dimmer control knob on the left side of the instruments panel under the tachometer.

The clock back light bulb does burn out and is very difficult to change because the whole instrument gauge cluster must be removed for access. Many people I know who have purchased pre-owned Odysseys are under the impression that the clock does NOT have a back light for this reason.

My 2001 Honda Odyssey would completely lose power, foot on the gas pedal and nothing there. There were no warning lights prior to the losing power. After letting the car set for a few minutes it would start and run okay. This happened intermittently over a couple of weeks until finally it didn't want to start at all. When turning the key the car sounded like it wanted to start but wouldn't. After a quick trip to the closest Honda dealership and asking a few questions we were told that it sounded like the main relay needed to be replaced. They showed us where it was located on the Honda, we bought a new one and we easily installed it ourselves. The old relay did have a slight burned smell. My Honda is working fine now and it has been over a week with no problems. I hope this helps someone else.

OdyClub.com has step by step instructions as well as pictures to assist you in the removal of the dash. This will allow you to access the bulb. It can be purchased at Radio Shack for less than $3.00. Best of Luck.

Red and usually says trans or transmission on it.

After changing the batteries the remotes need to be reset to the car. Reset info should be in your manual.

I believe that light is accessed through the inside of the trunk.Remove the carpet from the back of the light housing & you will most likely find a bunch of plastic wing nuts that hold the taillight assembly on,remove them & push the housing out carefully,then the light bulb just twists out.
