My 93 bravada wont start since i replaced sending unit

I have a 93 olds bravada that ran before, but leaked gas due to a rusted sending unit. i replaced it and also the car battery because it too was bad. i poured a few gallons into the tank and it wont start. car turns over just fine but will just not start. i dont really know how to check the fuel pump, i just assume its working because when i turn the car on it registers the correct fuel level and i know its a mechanism on the pump that reads that, so i just assume its fine. i dont know what could have happened between the time it ran fine, and the time i put a new sending unit on.

the sending unit with wires are new, so im hoping thats not the problem. i tried turning the car on to hear the fuel pump without a gas tank or hoses attached, and theres nothing. the fuel pump doesnt hum or do anything. would that be enough to mean that the fuel pump doesnt work?

alright, i turned the car on and let it sit for a bit while on, no action from the pump. i tried starting it too to see if the pump would respond- nope. is there another way i can check to see if the pump is alright? or shouldnt it have responded by now.

well i gave up for a while and now have resumed this project. The fuel pump has no power. The sending unit and fuel pump relay all have power... so im replacing the pump... ill report back eventually

No start on 93 olds bravada without starter fluid , i did a fuel pressure test idle was good but when i switched ignition off the presure went straight to 10 psi from about 60 psi , i suspect a bad c

Internal pressure regulator on the fuel pump should hold for about a minute but some pressure loss is normal. However, on initial start-up, the pressure must be at operating pressure or the system wont work. I suspect the fuel pump is failing, it is an all too common problem for GM trucks and SUVs with mpfi fuel injection.
IACs do not go out very often, usually there is a problem with vacuum leaks, dirty throttle assemblies.

What would cause the gas gage not to work in a 93 bronco?

Nine times out of ten, rust in the gas tank has caused the sending unit to rust. WD-40 (large amounts of it), sprayed into the sending unit, usually fixes that.
Also, if I'm not mistaken, the 93 Bronco has a "Low Fuel Light" circuit right next to the gas gauge. If that circuit fails, the gas gauge will also fail.
Start by seeing if you have voltage to the gas gauge circuit with the ignition key on. If you do not, replace or clean the sending unit. If you do, replace the Low Fuel Light circuit plug-in.

My 2000 bravada wont start.

you pulled the ignition switch and installed a different switch
that means that you have installed a different immobilizer system
try reprogramming the new key to your ECM and it will probably go

Gas gague not working in 93 gmc sierra

The fuel level gage sending unit is defective, very common problem. The sending unit comes with a new fuel pump and is referred to as a module, also make darn sure you replace the fuel pump connector at the fuel tank, solder and shrink tube the new connector on, DO NOT USE CRIMP CONNECTORS.

Have 93 bravada with digital dash. gas bar graph reads eratic have to use trip milage to check for time to refuel. is this due to gas cap and should it be an OE cap

you might have to change out the fuel tank sending unit the floats on some of the older vehicles will start to read wrong and having a digital dash they will go out sooner.

Fule is leaking in 1993 ford explorer

The possible leackage could be the sending unit fuel line rusted and "cracked" after braking the bolts you might have to tap new threads to get the skid plate off then replace the sending unit. Hope this helps seen alot of 93 explorer's do this.....
