Question about 1993 Honda Accord

1 Answer

Siphoning gas I have a 1993 (I think?) Honda Accord. It kicked the bucket the other day and now I have to have it sent to the junkyard. For the past week we've been trying to siphon out the nearly full tank of gas (since I really don't need to give away $60 worth of fuel)!! Is it me or what? It seems that when we try to put the hose into the tank, something doesn't allow the hose to go all the way down. Please let me know what I could be doing wrong!!??

No it's not u, there is a vent pipe that rund down along the same space a the fill pipe, I would suggest you undue the fill pipe from the tank if you can, if that won't work remove the back seat cushion and take out the gas tank sending unit, and siphon there

1993 Honda accord, filled my tank and 2 days later the emission light is on.

Check your gas cap. if it is loose, tighten it until it clicks. It is vented, and if the vent is plugged then the computer will throw a code. Check you local auto parts store for a replacement cap - if it is cheap enough, replace the cap. It will usually take a day or two to have that light go off.

1993 honda accord se with automatic transmission. car will not start. D4 is flashing. just ran 2 days ago.

D4 flashing? this may be the neutral safty switch, theres a selector switch that connects to the shifter, this switch lets you know what gear your in and also the compuetr. this sounds like it thinks its in d4 and will not allow the car to start. this is like the car is in drive and you are trying to start it. good day.

My 1993 Honda Accord LX was having problems to start during hot weather, I changed the fuel filter, distributor, rotor cap, rotor and now it seems like gas does not get into the engine. What's wrong?

The Main relay on your vehicle is defective. When the relay is operating while the engine is started and running, it gets hot. Add the hot weather to the relay and they break inside. The relay is located on the side firewall driverside above the left kick plate inside the car,and is secured with a 10mm hex cap screw (bolt). Replace this relay, and your vehicle should start.
It looks like this;

Hi I have accord 96 when park temp guage past the

you can hook up your fan to a switch, fairly simple, auto zone would be able to explain it to you. so that when you turn on your car it automatically turns on and stays on, or so that you can turn on/off as you see fit. id probably have it run non-stop while car is going. i think they should all do that anyways, but they are trying to save you gas by having a sensor.

Window won't roll up or down. its stuck about 4

if its a power window, have a close listen to see if you can here a slight clicking noise as if something is trying to work, as you push the window switch from up to down position if you do that means power is trying to get down to the motor and that means there is a good chance that your power window motor might have kicked the bucket. if thats not it might be a wireing problem..when you open your door you can see a black rubber plug going from your door frame to your door, try wiggleing that plug.
